Essential oils - why so essential?
Essential oils have played a vital role in wellness practices for thousands of years. From boosting immunity to aiding digestion, relieving anxiety, promoting a beautiful complexion and even helping to heal burns and scrapes, the list of potential benefits is very far reaching.Essential Oils for your Fressko flask While most of us are familiar with the aromatic use of Essential Oils, many don’t realise you can actually add them in your diet, too. Adding a drop or two to your Fressko flask will not only give a delicious burst of flavour, but can provide a number of health benefits. But, with hundreds of Essential Oils out there, and not all of them safe for ingesting, it can be a little confusing to know what’s what. So, we’re giving you a quick rundown on which oils are best to use in your glass flask: What are they exactly? Essential oils come from the naturally occurring aromatic compounds found in the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plants. They are powerfully fragrant and play a role in both protecting plants and assisting pollination. Essential oils are usually made through distillation, which uses steam to separate the oil from water-based compounds of the plant. By extracting this concentrated oil from plants, we are able to enjoy the most powerful healing compounds of a plant. Essential oils are highly concentrated, and not all are safe for ingesting, so it’s important to do your homework. Which oils are best for water infusion? As mentioned above, not all Essential Oils are safe to ingest so make sure you always read the label or speak to a professional if you’re unsure! Also, remember that a little goes a long way; usually 1-3 drops into your Fressko flask is plenty. Not sure where to start?
